The Miss Charm organization has recently released an official announcement that this year’s edition has been postponed yet again, which was earlier scheduled to be held in April. “Beyond any ambition and strong desire for the first edition of the Miss Charm pageant, with our responsibility, prestige, and reputation, we regret having to postpone this April’s competition,” the organization shared.
The reason for the decision involves the both the current rising cases of covid as well as the Ukraine-Russia conflict. The official statement by the organization also read, “The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has become a global problem. The political, economic, and social situations of many countries around the world are being affected. There was also a large-scale airspace ban. Besides, the number of COVID-19 infections in Vietnam is at a peak and rising each day, with daily cases averaging about 165,000. Even though the world has always been unstable, everything is more tough and sensitive at this time. There is no complete choice for all.”
“We heartfelt apologize to our representatives of countries, sponsors, as well as you who have loved, supported, and looked forward to our pageant. We would be very grateful if we can continue to reach the brilliant, delighted finale when the situation is better and more fulfilling. We are still here and ready for the days of convergence in the near future,” they added.
After the earlier postponement that was announced in August 2021, the organization was all set to host the competition from 10th to 24th April 2022 in Phu Quoc Island and Ho Chi Minh City, where delegates more than 30 countries and autonomous territories would have competed for the title and crown for two weeks.
