The Miss Chile Mundo organization crowned Carol Drpic as the new Miss World Chile 2021 in an intimate ceremony at DoubleTree by Hilton Santiago hotel. Patagonia’s representative, Carol will represent Chile in the next Miss World 2021, scheduled to take place in December in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Carol succeeds Miss World Chile 2019 Ignacia Albornoz Olmedo for the title.
The organization took to their social media to announce, “After a beautiful weekend in which our candidates gave everything and more! We are very proud to present our Miss World 2021 Carol Drpic.” The National organization directed by Keno Manzur crowned a queen by directive decision for the first time, based on her performance in the activities that took place last weekend and her social project.
Coming from the city of Punta Arenas, Carol is 21 years old, stands 175 cm tall and is a fourth year student of Kinesiology at the University of Magallanes. In addition, she has been practicing classical ballet since the age of five. She bested 15 other divas in an event held at closed doors, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this weekend.
This path in pageantry began for her about two years ago in the company of Antonia Aliaga, currently Miss World South Zone, who was the person who motivated her to enter this world with her family, her partner and friends. Talking about her preparations over the years she mentioned, “We have to do tremendous catwalk and public speaking work, in addition to running a social project. Each contest has its purpose, mine has an international motto which is: 'beauty with a purpose' All candidates worldwide have to lead a social project, and mine is 'Hearts Australes'."
Her project ‘Heart Australes’, is an association that involves many young adults and children, in fact, all the people who want to be participants will be welcome. In Patagonia the climate is super complex, and the older adults do not all have the same resources, so they work with different associations and groups that help them to focus these aids.
Carol Drpic’s coronation is only the beginning for the other 15 candidates towards the national crown, since they will continue to compete to become Miss World Chile 2022, an event to be developed next January and where the national representative will be selected for the 71st edition of the Miss World.
