Gabriela Carrillo Zambrano has been crowned Miss Continentes Unidos Ecuador 2018 also known as Miss United Continents Ecuador 2018.  She was crowned by her predecessor Miss United Continents Ecuador 2017 Bianca Benavides who was placed in the Top 10 at Miss United Continents 2017. Bianca had also won a special award of Miss Friendship at the event.

Gabriela will now be representing Ecuador at the grand finale of Miss United Continents 2018 to be held on 22nd September 2018 at the Simón Bolivar Guayaquil Convention Center in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Miss United Continents 2017 Tatiana Tsimfer from Russia will be crowning her successor. There are over 50 countries who will be participating in the event.

Gabriela was a candidate in the national pageant Miss Ecuador 2018 held on 5th May 2018 and was crowned Miss United Continents Ecuador 2018 in the same event.

Gabriela is an Economist who used to study at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral. She is 23 years of age and is 182 cm tall. She can speak a total of three languages, that is, English, French and German. During her free time, she likes to read, play the piano and meditate. She also likes to travel to new places. Her hometown is Guayaquil. Gabriela can be seen volunteering for social causes like blood donation.

Ecuador has won the title of Miss United Continents two times since its commencement in 2006, once when Miss United Continents 2011 Claudia Elena Schiess Fretz took the crown and once in 2013 when Miss United Continents 2013 Carolina Andrea Aguirre Pérez was crowned. And apart from winning the crown, it is always added pressure for Miss United Continents Ecuador because this country has been the host of this prestigious event since its initiation.
