Miss Diva 2020 will be held on 22nd February 2020 and this is first edition of the beauty pageant under Liva Fluid Fashion. Miss Universe India 2019 Vartika Singh along with Miss Supranational India 2019 Shefali Sood will crown their successor by the end of the event. The 20 delegates across the India will compete for the title of Miss Diva Universe 2020 and Miss Supranational India 2020. Out of 20 19 delegates have been selected. The last delegate is selected as a wildcard entry in the competition and is selected based on public vote.
For us, Naveli Deshmukh is a suitable delegate for the wildcard entry for Miss Diva Universe 2020 competition. Naveli Deshmukh was crowned second runner-up Miss Diva Universe 2015 while Urvashi Rautela was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2015.
Naveli Deshmukh is 22 years old and stands 173 cm tall. The diva is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer who earned her graduation degree from Amity University. She is a sports lover and has spent most of her time on the field and because of that she has received the state youth award by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for her contribution in sports and dance. The diva has won 6 gold medals in the activities including running, shot put, discus throw, long jump, relay and hurdles.
The 22-year-old dancer has represented India at International dance festival twice which were held in Turkey and China. She soon shifted her interest towards modelling and started her pageant journey with Femina Miss India 2015 where she was adjudged as Top 10 finalist. The diva unfortunately failed to win the crown but came back with a strong presence in Miss Diva Universe 2015 where she was placed as the second runner-up along with a title of Miss Talented.
Naveli has walked runway at Fashion Weeks and has appeared in ads for leading brands. She is also currently Maharashtra’s ambassador for the National Service Scheme and Swach Bharat AMC. Her experience in the pageant world can work as an advantage for her and help her win the title.
During one interview when Naveli was asked that how would she showcase India at an international level, the diva replied, ‘India is a land where many aspects of society comes from. A place where moral values are still held high despite the ever-growing westernization. It is a land of vast cultures and religions. India is simply India and nothing can come close to what it can offer to anyone in terms of home, happiness, culture, values, morals, humanity etc. And I will give my best to portray this beautiful land in the best way possible.’
The diva is cheerful, energetic and has tried to learn something new in her career whether its modelling, dancing or playing sports. Her confidence and stage presence can be a strong point when she gets selected for the competition. She believes in the motto, Follow your heart. If you are passionate about something then it won’t feel like ‘hard’ work. It’s important to have a positive outlook even if you don’t make it.
