05 Dec 2022 | Priya Bhardwaj

Mina Sue Choi created history by becoming the first ever delegate from South Korea to win Miss Earth 2022 crown. Almost a week ago, after her historic win at the pageant, Mina Sue Koi has returned to Korea to celebrate the win with her country.

Before leaving Manila where Miss Earth 2022 was held, Mina took to her official social media as she thanked everyone for their support and wrote, "This is Miss Earth 2022, Mina Choi. I will finally return home in a few hours. ???? It's been a few days now, but I still can't believe it. I think this is the first time in my life that so many people congratulated me and rejoiced with me. So many people supported and helped me, and first of all, I am most grateful to my loving parents, my mom and dad."

She arrived at Incheon International Airport on Sunday, 4th December 2022 carrying the iconic Miss Earth crown and the official Miss Earth sash. Mina will enjoy a little in her country before she embarks on a world tour promoting the Miss Earth advocacy in January 2023.

The finale of Miss Earth 2022 was held on 29th November 2022 at Okada Manila where the Korean beauty beat over 80 other contestants from around the world to win her country's first-ever Miss Earth title. Her elemental court includes Miss Earth - Air Sheridan Mortlock of Australia, Miss Earth - Water Nadeen Ayoub of Palestine, and Miss Earth - Fire Andrea Aguilera of Colombia.
