The finale of Miss Earth 2023 was a series of firsts with history being made at the grand stage in Vietnam. The grand finals were held on 22nd December 2023, at Van Phuc City, Hiep Binh Phuoc, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi od Korea relinquished her crown at the end of the event finale.

Lets take a look at the History makers and drought breakers of Miss Earth 2023 –

Drita Ziri – The first ever Albanian to win Miss Earth

Drita Ziri became the first ever Albanian woman to be crowned Miss Earth 2023. This also becomes the first time any Albanian woman wins a major international beauty pageant. Ziri bested 84 other contestants to win the coveted Miss Earth crown.

Dilnaz Tilaeva – Kazakhstan wins placement after 22 years

Miss Earth Kazakhstan 2023 Dilnaz Tilaeva made a triumphant return to Miss Earth 2023 as she won a placement for her country after a whopping 22 years. Dilnaz became one of the four runners-up at the finale night at Top 8. Kazakhstan's first placement was in 2001 with Margarita Kravtsova won won Miss Earth Water 2001 crown.

Priyan Sain – India breaks 13-year placement drought

Miss Earth India 2023 Priyan Sain made history for her country at Miss Earth 2023 by breaking her 13-year placement drought, entering the Top 20. India's last Miss Earth placement was in 2010 with Nicole Faria who won the Miss Earth 2010 held in Vietnam. The country is surely a lucky charm for India!

Sashing of Runners-up

Miss Earth 2023 also saw the sashing of the runners-up for the first time. The remaining of the Top 8 Miss Earth queens were declared as the runners-up and were sashed at the finale stage. The runners-up included Miss Earth Russia 2023 Daria Lukonkina, Miss Earth Kazakhstan 2023 Dilnaz Tilaeva, Miss Earth Brazil 2023 Morgana Carlos and Miss Earth Netherlands 2023 Noa Claus.
