Miss Earth Colombia 2018 has begun to announce its official delegates who will fight for the national title in Bogota Colombia. The title is given to the woman who represents Colombia at the prestigious Miss Earth pageant, an initiative to promote environmental awareness.

From Quibdó, Chocó, the 23-year-old Keidy Lemos is the official twelfth delegate of Miss Earth Colombia 2018. For the environment, as a delegate of Miss Earth Colombia, Keidy has deep respect and appreciation and wishes to promote this love for nature through her participation.

As she says, “I love the peace and tranquility provided by contact with nature, wisdom and deep respect that generates who knows how to appreciate it.”

As an aware citizen and the official delegate, Keidy also wishes to change the perception of people who have forgotten to take care of the environment because of their lives in big cities. She says, “I would change the way in which man relates to nature, added to the mirage provided by the big cities, man has lost himself to see, feel and enjoy the warmth of a sunset, the sound of animals, the peace that provokes contemplating a natural landscape and has forgotten the intrinsic responsibility of caring, protecting the environment and restoring the damage caused.”

Miss Earth Colombia 2017 Juliana Franco from Villavicencio represented Colombia at Miss Earth 2017. She also won the title of Miss Earth Water 2017 at the pageant. Juliana will crown her successor at the end of the grand finale.
