Fan-favourite Gabriela Castillo Alarcon has been crowned Miss Earth Guatemala 2020 by Miss Guatemala organization and will now represent her country at the virtual edition of Miss Earth 2020. The coronation ceremony was held on 13th September 2020 at 6 PM (local time).
Gabriela Castillo hails from Jutiapa and is a stunning diva. She is not new to the pageantry as she previously held the title of Miss Guatemala USA. At the age of 20, she was then crowned Miss International Guatemala 2018 at the finale of Miss World Guatemala 2018. Gabriela then participated in Miss International 2018 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 15.
Gabriela was a top favourite for Miss Earth Guatemala 2020 crown in our opinion as well. Her experience in the pageantry, her stunning beauty along with her will to do something for the mother Earth to make it a better place to live in makes her a strong contender for Miss Earth 2020 crown this year and bring home the first Miss Earth crown.
Gabriela succeeds Miss Earth Guatemala 2019 María Regina Barco who represented Guatemala in Miss Earth 2019. At the finale, she performed with absolute sincerity and dedication but failed to place in the Top 20. Guatemala is yet to pioneer its win in Miss Earth pageant.
