The organization of Miss Earth Kenya has appointed Fridah Kariuki as the new Miss Earth Kenya 2020 and she will be representing the country at Miss Earth 2020 virtual coronation. She succeeds Miss Earth Kenya 2019 Susan Kirui for the title and is very excited to take over the crown duties.

Fridah is 22-years-old and stands 162 cm tall and is a journalist, environmentalist and a humanitarian who has always aspired to represent her country at international stage. She describes herself as humble, kind, and passionate about giving back to the society. With the platform given to her by Miss Earth Kenya she would use it to carry forward the environmental advocacy she believes in and feels that needs to reach masses.

The diva is not new to pageantry as she was Miss Tourism Kenya Emby County 2018 where she was appreciated for her performance. She is a strong, determined, and a focused young woman who has dreamt of giving back to the country by winning the title at an international stage and do something good for the environment.

Fridah has a blog where she usually shares about her journey, fashion, auditions, and much more. During the lockdown, she focused on training herself better for the future competitions and Miss Earth Kenya appointed her as the new representative at Miss Earth 2020 stage. Along with being an environmentalist, she is also and advocate for women and education for all. She has mentioned, “I'm all about the young people and women empowerment! We are powerful and we are leaders. I want young girls to be confident about who they are and what they can do regardless of their background. Educating a woman is educating the whole society. You know the beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take that away from you! They performed well and I believe that my presence there gave them hope and made an impact in their lives and I wish them all a bright future.”
