Miss Earth Mauritius 2019 and Miss Earth Reunion Island 2019 were both crowned at the culmination of the Miss Earth Mauritius 2019 pageant held on 24th August 2019. At the end of the coronation night, Gyanisha Ramah was crowned Miss Earth Mauritius 2019 while Anaïs Payet was crowned Miss Earth Reunion Island 2019. Both the ladies will now represent their respective countries in the upcoming Miss Earth 2019 pageant.
Gyanisha Ramah performed excellently at the national competition. Not new to the pageantry, she holds the title of Elite Model Look 2018 and is also Miss Eco International MRU 2018 2nd Runner up. A fashion model by profession, she sure will be a strong competition for the ladies at the international stage.
Anaïs Payet is from Sainte- Marie and a student of Université de La Réunion. Caring deeply about the environment, she wishes to fulfil her advocacy through her crown. She will also set high standards at the competition this year with her sincerity and dedication.
Twelve contestants competed for the national crowns. Both the countries are yet to win their first Miss Earth crown. Last year, Kirty Sujeewon represented Mauritius at Miss Earth 2019 while Reunion Island did not send any delegate to the pageant last year.
