The organization of Miss Earth Mauritius appointed Saroshna Takayanagi as the new Miss Earth Mauritius 2020 on 30th September 2020 and will represent the country at the virtual coronation ceremony of Miss Earth 2020. She succeeds Miss Earth Mauritius 2019 Gyanisha Ramah for the title.

Saroshna is excited to be a part of Miss Earth 2020 stage and believes that she will be able to perform her best at the competition and make the people of Mauritius proud. She is not new to the world of pageantry as she was adjudged as the Miss Earth Mauritius Fire 2019 and the end of the event finale.

The diva works as a professional model who has always aspired to represent her country at the international stage and Miss Earth Mauritius organization has finally answered her prayers by trusting and believing her that she is a potential candidate to represent the country. She has Miss Gyanisha Ramah as her predecessor who strongly feels and has mentioned, “Never give up on your dreams and live the life you want. Don't let others tamper your happiness! Trust me, you'll come across negative people throughout your journey! But you should not lose hope,” which is something to strongly take into consideration and carry forward with.

Saroshna is confident, passionate, and very grateful for the organization of Miss Earth Mauritius for believing in her and trusting her with the title especially during such tough times. She has assured that she will do her best and make the people of her country proud. She believes in working hard at every step of the life and has already started to prepare herself for the pageant. She has experienced the feel of being on stage and would use the platform to carry her environmental advocacy forward.

The diva believes that Miss Earth competition serves as a platform for the divas who genuinely wishes to work for the betterment of the environment and she is very glad to be a part of such a prestigious stage. The finale of Miss Earth 2020 will be held on 29th November 2020 virtually.
