Amara Shune Lei has been appointed as the new Miss Earth Myanmar 2020 and will be representing the country at Miss Earth 2020 stage. She succeeds Miss Earth Myanmar 2019 May Thadar Ko for the title and is very excited for the journey towards Miss Earth 2020 crown.
Representing the province of Yangon East, Amara is 23-years-old and stands 177 cm tall who works as a freelance professional model at Universal INT’L Model Agency. She started to learn hair and makeup professionally and started working to support her parents. She has expressed her happiness and thanked everyone who has helped her during the competition and believes that she will be able to perform her best at the virtual finale of Miss Earth 2020 that will be held in the month of November.
Amara had performed exceptionally well at the Miss Earth Myanmar 2020 competition as she has won bronze medal in both resort wear competition and long gown competition as well. She was highly appreciated for her strong performance and beautiful walk which impressed everyone present at the competition. She is learning Chinese and English languages to make her communication strong and impressive.
The diva has mentioned that her dream to represent her country at international stage along with doing something for the nature was like a dream come true for her. She stated, ′′Land, water, air, fire is a dream of hope of all our mother Myanmar land, including the four winds of the earth, including our love to live in our motherland, which is working for us to live in the mother land that we love to live. ′′ Miss Earth 2020 is a dream and she is all ready to conquer that dream as well.
She raised a question, “Isn't all human beings responsible for protecting our mother earth and not to destroy it?” To which she later explained that human beings have a responsibility to maintain and protect our Earth. We all must throw the thoughts of neglecting and breaking the rules of Earth. We may need to pay more attention for the needs of earth. Otherwise, will see the green land of our beautiful planet. We must collaborate green and eternal constant responsibilities for the earth and not ignore the most possible facts that the small effort made from our end for the earth may have a great impact. “We'll see the beauty of natural weather that supports the perfect beautiful world environment scenes in the future together,” she lastly added. She has urged everyone to keep making changes in their lifestyle which are healthy and impactful towards the mother nature and not ignore the signs that are harmful.
Amara has expressed her greatest gratitude towards Miss Earth Myanmar organization for giving her the platform to advocate about her advocacy and believes that she will be able to do justice with the title and perform her best to win the title of Miss Earth 2020.
For its 20th year, Miss Earth takes on the theme “Eco-Angels” to underscore the delegates’ role as guardians of nature. Today, more than ever, there is an urgent need to further environmental awareness to address the Earth’s worsening conditions, especially among the youth. For this, the Miss Earth delegates are ready to spread their wings and guide the people on how to adapt a more sustainable lifestyle in the new norm.
