The beautiful Rojina Shrestha, Miss Earth Nepal 2017 could not reach the desired place in the Miss Earth 2017 competition, but that doesn’t deter this social activist and a scholar to perceive her future in a new light.

Rojina is still under a contract with Miss Earth Nepal organization and has been seen fulfilling her duties as the reigning queen in daily life, along with which she is also given the duty to find her next successor. Along with these duties, since Rojina is highly intelligent and has been a scholar student, she plans to continue her studies and do master in her field of interest. Also as a social activist, Rojina wants to keep continuing her social activities for the people of Nepal and for environment and climate change in the world.

If we talk about her Miss Earth 2017 journey, Rojina has expressed her time in Philippines as the most eminent time of her life. Going out of her country, Nepal, for the first time in life, she started feeling home-sick, the moment she put step in the airplane. But slowly she became friends with her co-contestants and started opening with them and enjoying her time in Philippines, which she describes as the best time of her life. Eventually she found the people of Philippines so warm and humble that she didn’t want to come back only. Gushing about the hospitality of the Philippines’ natives, she once said that, “They actually treat you like a queen there.”

Rojina is a very real and grounded person in life. This can be derived from her beings always open to criticism, she stresses that we as human being and her as a beauty queen need criticism to improve in the weak areas and if not provided criticism, everyone will become pompous. According to her, “No one is perfect, everyone is flawed and improvement is possible in every step of the way we take.”

One thing that Rojina felt while competing in Miss Earth 2017 is that she could not afford to do any mistake while the competition was on because if any mistake occurred it is not her name but her country’s name that would have been blotted.  This made her very conscious and nervous, but none the less she had a memorable time there.

There is no doubt about her splendid performance in the international pageant. Winning or losing is not in your hand but being a genuine and hardworking person is, and there is no doubt that she is one such person.
