Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 (Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2018) has found its 12 contestants that will be fighting for the crown of Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 (Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2018). Miss Earth Netherlands 2017 Faith Landman will soon be crowning her successor and passing over her reign and her crown.
The newly crowned queen will then represent the Netherlands at the Miss Earth 2018 Pageant where Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco will crown her successor.
The Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 gala will be held at Studio 21 in Hilversum on 31st August 2018. The coronation has previously been held at the World Hotel Wings for two years, but, due to the increase in the audiences that the pageant hosted, the venue has been changed to fulfill the increased seat requirements.
But before that, here are our Top 5 favourite finalists for the Miss Earth Netherlands 2018 crown.
Miss Earth Gelderland- Lisanne Meppelink
Lisanne Meppelink is from Wapenveld and is 21 years old. Since last summer she has graduated as a nurse and is currently working in the care for the disabled. At the moment she is taking a year gap so that she can prepare herself for a follow-up course.
As an eleven-year-old girl, she featured in the clip ‘Daughters of Marco Borsato’ with her father.
Miss Earth Noord Brabant- Rowena Konings
Rowena king is 20 years old and lives in Rijen. Currently, she has a gap year and works in the hospitality industry at the Holland Casino in Breda. She also teaches dance at L-joy dance factory in Dongen and is a vlogger. In the future, she would like to get a breakthrough as a presenter. Presenting is, in addition to dancing, her greatest passion.
She plays music 24/7. She goes to sleep with music and wakes up to it. She also loves sushi.
Miss Earth Zuid Holland- Milenka Janssen
Milenka Janssen is 19 years old, lives in The Hague and is studying the Sports and Exercise Lifestyle program at the ROC Mondriaan College in Delft. She works as a website model at the online webshop Via Mio. She also gives rehabilitation fitness to people with non-congenital brain injury. This means that these people have suffered damage due to an accident, illness, or a stroke and such damage in the brain. Often these people are partially paralyzed and Milenka helps them become more mobile through fitness exercises.
Miss Earth Noord Holland- Makiko Kelatow
Makiko Jolie Kelatow is 19 years old and was born and raised in the Zaanstreek. Currently, she’s graduating in International Aviation Operations. After this summer she will probably start her studies in Business IT & Management.
She is a fan of Harry Potter and can talk about all Harry Potter films, including spells at length. Although she has Indonesian roots, she has a Japanese name.
Miss Earth Flevoland- Julya de Goede
Julya de Goede is a 19-year-old from Almere. She is currently studying communication at HBO and works at 21Toolkit. She teaches children about technology and innovation. In addition to her work at 21Toolkit, she is also a full-time model at NINA Agency and thus regularly stand in front of the camera.
She has been playing hockey at a high level for 12 years and has learned how important it is to perform well every day and get the best out of oneself. She has stopped playing hockey now but you can bump into her regularly at the gym.
