Abby Sturgin crowned as Miss Earth New Zealand 2017

Miss Earth New Zealand 2017 pageant concluded with the crowning of the stunning Abby Sturgin today, i.e. 27th May 2017. It took place at Waipura Hotel and Conference Centre with all the glamour. Miss Earth New Zealand 2016 Janelle Nicholas Wright crowned her successor on the finale night.

The finalists showed their charisma and beauty throughout to win the title. Every finalist graced the stage by wearing beautiful gowns to mesmerize everyone present at the event but Abby Sturgin was lucky enough to win the hearts of the judges and audiences. The contestants went through the amazing National Costume round and swimwear round.

Abby is a beautiful and charming girl who wants to win the crown to make some efforts to educate people about the conservation of environment. She is presently in the second year at AUT studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Management. The beauty loves being outdoors playing sports and exercising and performing any activity. Abby loves her family and friends a lot. She wants to aware people about the toxic waste that is polluting some of our rivers, and ultimately finding alternatives to minimise our carbon footprint. On the International platform, she wants to share the world Aotearoa’s green landscape and black sand by the west coast beaches.

At the same pageant, Zoom Fitton was crowned as Miss Earth New Zealand Air 2017, Nicole Gomes was crowned as Miss Earth New Zealand Water 2017 and Ayu Candradewi was crowned as Miss Earth New Zealand Fire 2017. Abby will now represent New Zealand in the Miss Earth 2017 beauty pageant. All in all a great show ornamented with the best of performances and talent present.
