Maria Lael Terlaje was crowned Miss Earth Northern Marianas 2020 on 19th September 2020 at Giovanni’s, Hyatt Regency Saipan and will be representing Northern Marianas at the virtual coronation of Miss Earth 2020. She is the second candidate from her country to represent the country on Miss Earth stage. She succeeded Miss Earth Northern Marianas 2019 Leisha Deleon Guerrero for the title.
Maria is very passionate for the cause Miss Earth Organization stands up for and feels blessed to be a part of such prestigious stage that has given her a platform to carry out her own cause and reach to the mass audience. She explains, “My passion is to inspire through education, focusing on our community and the youth that prospers our future. I advocate love and kindness not only for the environment, but for the people around us.”
The diva feels grateful for the experience she had throughout her journey and has thanked everyone for the unconditional support and love that pushed her to keep inspiring others. She would continue to do the same. She added, “Acts of Kindness is a motive I’ve always wanted to implement. From our people to our environment love and respect strengthens our culture and maintains the life in the Marianas. My advocacy pushes to inspire, educate, and instil passion in our people, for they render the prosperity of our Land and Sea. Acts of Kindness means Choosing Love. Always choose love.”
Maria emerges as a strong contender for the title as she seems very focused, determined, and dedicated towards the cause and strongly feels that she has the skills and abilities to win. The people who know her describe her as hard working and determined towards her goal and as an inspiration for a lot of people in her community.
Miss Earth Northern Marianas 2019 Leisha Deleon Guerrero left a beautiful message for the audience and the delegates vying for the crown, “Tonight, I pass down my crown to a new deserving queen as I close this chapter of my life. Si Yu'us Ma'ase to everyone for following my remarkable journey. This is Leisha Deleon Guerrero, your First Miss Northern Marianas Earth signing off.” She was highly appreciated for her performance but unfortunately wasn’t placed.
The diva is beautiful, very strong with her advocacy and with her incredible performance and charisma, Maria will make Northern Marianas Island and its people proud. She will be representing Northern Marianas at the virtual coronation ceremony of Miss Earth 2020 which is going to start from 21st September 2020 and the grand finale will take place on 29th November 2020.
