Alexia Aupin crowned Miss Earth Reunion Island 2018

Alexia Aupin is the newly crowned Miss Earth Reunion Island 2018. The grand finale that took place on 8th July, 2018 at the port protests hall, witnessed the grand affair where Miss Earth Reunion Island 2017 Emma Lauret passed down her crown to Aupin.

Alexia identifies herself as a strong willed girl who no matter what, sticks to her ground and believes in herself. She will now be representing her country Reunion, which is a French department in the Indian Ocean, at the Miss Earth 2018 pageant, this October in the Philippines.

The beauty queen who graduated from college la marine Vincendo, currently takes residence in Saint –Joseph in Reunion Islands. In front of a very engaged audience and a watchful jury, each and every candidate showed their talents, their intelligence, their beauty, their beliefs and advocated the noble cause of preserving and protecting our mother earth. Ten Beautiful ladies were vying for the coveted crown and it was Alexia that caught most of the eyes, for she impressed everyone with her wits and charm.

The winner of Miss Earth Reunion obtains the right to represent the region in the Miss Earth pageant, the third most important beauty festival in the world, where the goal is to promote environmental protection. Reunion Island is also known for its volcanoes, rainforest interiors, offshore reefs, beaches and Creole culture. The pageant came into existence in the year 2012 and since then has been sending delegates to the Miss Earth pageant.

The international pageant, Miss Earth 2018, will see Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco passing down her reign to the lady, who will be the most deserving of all for the crown and title of Miss Earth 2018. As Miss Earth is the pageant that is not just confined to the lines of beauty, but to the world of causes and compassion, it is important that the contestants do their own thing and support the causes that they most believe in.
