Lungo Katete crowned Miss Earth South Africa 2019

Miss Earth South Africa 2019 held its finale night four days ago where gorgeous beauties from all over the country competed for the national crown and the opportunity to represent South Africa in Miss Earth 2020. Nazia Wadee Miss Earth South Africa 2018 crowned Lungo Katete as the new queen at the end of the event finale. However, she holds the title of Miss Earth South Africa 2019 but will represent the country at Miss Earth 2020. 

The newly crowned queen is an aspiring Architect with her Bachelors in Architecture. Lungo represented her state with sincerity and dedication at the national contest and will surely be a tough contender to beat at the international platform as well.

She took to her official social media to reveal her emotions after crowning, “My name is Lungo Katete and I am Miss Earth South Africa 2019. It feels like just yesterday that I began my Miss Earth Journey and now here we are. I did not know where this journey would take me, but I knew I would learn and grow through the process.It is an honor to be your Queen.

The contestants who competed for the national crown were Abongile Zwane, Katlego Setshedi, Loreal Magro, Lungo Katete, Savahna Grimbeek, Moratwe Masima, Victoria Soutar, Mbali Sithole, Michaela Kupsamy, Ntsakiso Ngwenya, Sine Shabalala.
