Miss Eco International organisation comes under fire as Thailand’s Juthamas Mekseree tests positive for covid-19

In his recent live session, Mr. Nawat confirmed the news that the irresponsibility of the Miss Eco International organization has caused various delegates who represented their respective countries at Miss Eco International 2020 on 4th April 2021 in Egypt to be tested positive for the coronavirus. He confirmed that Miss Eco Thailand 2020 Juthamas Mekseree’s test came back positive and she has isolated herself for recovery.

Juthamas’ team also took to her official Facebook page to share the news that she is safe and healthy now but still has been tested positive for the virus and to maintain the precaution she has isolated herself in a hotel room as she cannot travel back to Thailand. Miss Universe Thailand 2020 Amanda Obdam took to her social media to wish the diva speedy recovery.

Mr. Nawat further in his live mentioned that he tried to reach out to the organization for updates on Juthamas’ health but received no response, thus, he took it to his own hands to provide everything the beauty queen needs while being under isolation.

After the social media exploded with the news of Miss Eco International organization being irresponsible with the health of the candidates, the organization confirmed the news that some of their delegates tested positive for the coronavirus, and the talk related to the beauty competition being held was taken out of proportion. The organization also mentioned that they are taking good care of the queens that have been infected.

The statement stated, “Miss Eco International Organization will ensure the safety of all our candidates. All accusations made publicly against us may have taken out of proportion. We are trying our best to coordinate with everyone. Including the ladies who are still here in Egypt. We thank all our national directors and candidates for their support and understanding.”

According to Miss Eco Peru 2020 Lesly Reyna, the organization of Miss Eco International was not in charge of covering the costs of accommodation, food, and most worryingly, Covid-19 tests, which has triggered a massive contagion among candidates, directors, and other people around competition. Further reports mentioned that some of the divas along with some of the staff of the organization were tested positive while the competition was being held as there was neither the tests done on arrival nor they were asked to quarantine themselves for few days but the organization kept on pushing with the competition with the infected divas and staff members.

It is being said that the owner of the Miss Eco International flew back to Cairo and abandoned the divas to take care of themselves and pay for their tests and stay if found positive. The consequence of the mishappening is that Thailand, Peru, and Japan have dropped their franchise and confirmed that they won’t be sending any more delegates to represent their country at Miss Eco International.

Nippon Bijin, franchise holder of Miss Eco Japan released a statement where he mentioned that Miss Eco Japan 2020 Mayuko Hanawa as well as the Japan Embassy in Egypt is looking after the diva to make sure that she is safe and provided with everything until her test results come back. He also added, “We are appalled at how the situation is being handled by the Miss Eco International organization and we condemn the lack of accountability that the organization is showing towards their candidates. The well-being of our candidates is not their priority. We will no longer send delegates to this organization.”

More information on the matter is awaited till then wishing the divas with speedy recovery!
