Matea Smith was crowned Miss Filipina International 2023 at the finale of the national pageant held on Saturday, 5th August 2023 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California. She bested over 30 other contestants to win the crown.

Matea Smith is 21 years of age who was born in Coral Springs, Florida with family roots   in Pililla, Rizal. She is a model and a behavioural and cognitive neuroscience student at the University of Florida. At the finale, she also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. Matea succeeds and was crowned by Miss Filipina International 2022 Blessa Figueroa.

The newly crowned Miss Filipina International 2023 Matea Smith’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Lauren Skeoch

2nd Runner-up – Patricia Tapia

3rd Runner-up – Rylen Steinbuch

Top 15 semifinalists also included Beatriz Mclelland, Dakota Swart, Denise Samaniego, Hannah Marte, Heather Casignia, Issa Rose Mata, Jessica Zemanek, Kawina Kan-hai, Kelly McIlroy, and Mary Ann Monda.

The 10th edition was hosted by Jeannie Mai and Cheryl Burke. Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee was a part of the show as a special guest. Also at the finale, Amanda Russo was named Miss Filipina International Tourism 2023.
