Miss Gibraltar 2017 pageant is on its road to the finale, and is scheduled to be held on 8th July 2017. With 9 finalists competing for the coveted title this year, let us give you an insight to all the finalists. Our first contestant is 21 year old Emma Buttigieg. Emma is a customer service agent by profession. She is also a part-time model who enjoys playing Netball. Her favourite sport is boxing.
It is Emma’s aim to get a Business & Human Resources Degree, and she wants to be successful in whatever profession she entails. The beauty currently works at DHL as a Customer Service Agent, and aspires to improve in whatever she does and learn as much as she can. In future, with the help of her degree, she wants to become a great leader and teach future employee’s everything they need to know.

Revealing a bit about herself, Emma says, “My idea of a perfect day is being around the people that I love most. Being with my friends & family is always a perfect day, and if the sun is shining even better!” Emma loves her country and believes that Gibraltar is the supportive community, where everybody supports each other. She feels proud to be raised in such a beautiful country.
Her idea behind entering the pageant is to do something that gives her a feeling of achieving something. She wants to be out of her comfort zone and take on the challenge. She wants to strive for new adventures and opportunities. “My ultimate aim in life is to grow as a person, so this is an adventure I can’t let slip away. Meeting new people and helping others is in my nature, so this is the perfect opportunity for me to do so,” said Emma.

She also shares why she wants to be Miss Gibraltar, and says, “I would like to be Miss Gibraltar to encourage people to love themselves for who they are, to be comfortable in their own skin, but most of all to remind them that beauty is within. I want to empower our community and remind them that anything is possible if you set your mind and heart to it.”
