Brenda Munoz was crowned Miss Grand Costa Rica 2022 on 7th July 2022 at the held at the Eugene O'Neill Theater as she became the official representative of Costa Rica at Miss Grand International 2022. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Grand Costa Rica 2021 Adriana Moya.

Brenda Mun~oz was one of the most experiences contestants at this year’s edition. Not new to the pageantry, Brenda holds the title of Miss Continentes Unidos 2013, Miss Intercontinental 2013 (Top 15), Reina Internacional del Café 2014 (Top 5), Miss Earth Costa Rica 2014 (Winner), Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 2015, Hispano-American Queen 2015, Miss Pacific and Caribbean 2015 (Winner) and Miss Universe Costa Rica 2019 (Viceroy), Latin American Universal Costa Rica 2020 (Designated).

At the end of the event finale, first runner-up title was adjudged to María Alejandra Acosta, from Heredia. Maria is 21 years of age. Before crowning Brenda, Adriana walked on the stage at Miss Grand Costa Rica 2021 for the final time.

Last year, Miss Grand Costa Rica 2021 Adriana Moya represented her country at Miss Grand International 2021 and with her stellar performance, she placed in the Top 10. Costa Rica is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Grand International.
