The organization of Concurso National de Belleza has designated Sonia Luna as the new Miss Grand Ecuador 2020 and with this she becomes the official representative of Ecuador for Miss Grand International 2020 stage. She has replaced Lisseth Naranjo for the title and succeeded Miss Grand Ecuador 2019 Mara Topic for the title.
According to sources Lisseth Naranjo’s retirement from her crown was a mutual agreement promoted by the Director of the Ecuador National Beauty Contest Tahiz Panus. The diva had expressed her desire to not to continue being Miss Grand Ecuador 2020 to Tahiz and she travelled to Dubai and was not concerned with shooting promotional videos and details of the national costume. Thus, the organization decided to go ahead and choose a representative for the competition as Ecuador has always performed with utmost sincerity and passion at Miss Grand International.
Sonia is 25-years-old and stands 178 cm tall and is studying in third year of her Clinical Psychology degree at the Catholic University of Guayaquil. She works as a professional model and was the Queen of Guayaquil 2017. Later she competed at Miss Ecuador 2019 as well where she was adjudged as the first finalist. She speaks Spanish and English fluently and is very confident with her performance.
After being appointed as Miss Grand Ecuador 2020, Sonia took to her social media to share her happiness by stating, “One of the most pleasant surprises and enormous joy for me is to confirm my participation in the Miss Grand International 2020 representing our beloved Ecuador. Thanks to CNB Ecuador, Tahiz Panus and Miguel Panus for the opportunity, I am in the clouds of happiness for the great privilege granted. I guarantee my commitment to the country to give my best.”
The gorgeous beauty has done social projects that focus on health and organizes workshops in schools about bullying and self-esteem. She is currently advocate for issues such as gender equality and advocacy for women's rights. She loves to read books and articles about her career, fan-fiction and social issues, along with watching anime.
Sonia’s appointment is appreciated by the pageant fanatics across the world as she is one of the strongest contenders for the title and is believed to perform her best at the competition to secure a high position. She is beautiful, confident, and determined to win the competition and with her enchanting looks she can impress anyone.
