Helen Demey Matey crowned Miss Grand Ghana 2018

Miss Grand Ghana 2018 crowned Helen Demey Matey as the official representative of Ghana at Miss Grand International 2018. Helen Demey Matey is a 23-year-old Ghanaian and a student of the University of Professional Studies Accra – Ghana majoring in Banking and Finance. She was also Queen of Peace Africa 2015/2016 and Miss Yilo 2013.

There was no election in 2017 to send a representative to Miss Grand International 2017. Ghana is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Grand International pageant.  The last representative Ghana sent to Miss Grand International was in 2016 when Margaret Koomson was Miss Grand Ghana 2016 but she discontinued from the international pageant at the start.

The official social media handle of Miss Grand International shared the news with the audience as her official confirmation was released- “Official Confirmation! Miss Matey Demey Helen, a 23-year-old Ghanaian and a student of the University of Professional Studies Accra - Ghana majoring in Banking and Finance has been crowned as #MissGrandGhana2018. Matey Demey Helen will represent Ghana at Miss Grand International 2018 to be held in Myanmar during this October. Congratulations and officially welcome to Grand Family!”

Helen Matey also shared her excitement after her official coronation on her social media handle, “I am Miss Grand Ghana 2018!!!! When grace is in abundant all protocol are observe. Thank you Lord Jesus.
