The organization of Miss Grand Italy crowned Filomena Venuso as the new Miss Grand Italy 2020 on 12th October 2020 at Cinecittà World Rome and she will be representing Italy at Miss Grand International 2020. She was crowned by Miss Grand Italy 2019 Mirea Sorrentino at the end of the event finale.
Originally from Nola, Filomena is 21-years-old and stands 175 cm tall. She is a professional model and is very excited to represent Italy at Miss Grand International 2020. She is not new to the world of pageantry as she was Miss Queen of Italy 2017. She is beautiful, strong, and confident about her goals in her life and right now which is to win Miss Grand International 2020 title for her country.
The diva has explained that her mother has motivated her to take up pageantry and she has always supported and motivated her to keep going. “She has always followed and supported me in my every choice and at all times. But I also dedicate it to myself, to my commitment and dedication that have brought me this far.” The diva explained that the fashion industry allows her to combine her passion which is to work for children and work at the same time.
Filomena has started to prepare herself for the finale night as she is working on her walk, speech, and confidence. During an interview, she had shared, “I’ve always tried to be myself without ever taking anyone as a point of reference. For the catwalk I am inspired by the models of Victoria's secret but partially, I do not like being an imitation of anyone, I would like to become a point of reference one day, maybe if I got this far it was thanks to the fact that I manage to be me same in every situation.”
She is confident, passionate, and focused towards winning and making a name for herself in the world of pageantry along with working for the society she lives in. She is grateful for the opportunities she has received till now which has helped her to build herself as she is today.
Filomena strongly believes that beauty pageants have empowered women to speak their hearts and minds out to a massive audience and she feels lucky that she gets to be a part of the same process. She is strong and determined towards performing her best on-stage and impressing everyone with her charming and attractive personality. She is experienced and feels that she can perform her best at the competition and make the people of Italy proud.
