Tiajah Elliott was crowned Miss Grand New Jersey 2024 at the finale of the state pageant on 14th January 2024 as she became the second delegate to be crowned to compete at Miss Grand USA 2024. Carissa Palumbo was the host of the evening at Miss Grand New Jersey 2024.
Tiajah, after six years of competing in pageantry, finally won her first pageant. Elliott is also the founder of Tiajah’s Dance Mission, a non-profit organization which believes in providing equal dance opportunities to everyone. With her efforts, she has distributes candy to special needs children for Halloween, taught a trunk or treat dance class, taught at a book bag drive, helped domestic abuse survivors, been invited to charity gala’s, gotten merch, collaborated with other non-profits, collaborated with elementary schools, collaborated with pageant queens, had a golf tournament fundraiser and donated to churches.
The mission of the NPO is to give everyone the opportunity to be graced with the gift of learning dance. “No matter who you are or where you come from, everyone deserves the chance to dance! By offering free dance classes, together we can balance out the disproportionate resources to people in lower income communities and begin to flourish as a society”, Elliott quoted.
On winning Miss Grand New Jersey 2024, Tiajah took to her official social media as she thanked everyone for their support and love as she wrote, “All praise to the most high! After six years of competing, I have finally won my first pageant! It is an absolute honor for me to wear the crown as Miss Grand New Jersey and I want to emphasize that I do not take this responsibility lightly.”
“This achievement serves as undeniable truth that hard work and dedication truly pays off. The key to success is tenacity. I am exceedingly overwhelmed by the outpouring of support I have received. I am grateful to Miss Grand New Jersey for providing me with the platform to serve my community and advance my nonprofit organization! I look forward to the incredible year that is ahead”, she added.
Tiajah succeeds Miss Grand New Jersey 2023 Christine Pierre who represented New Jersey at Miss Grand USA 2023 and placed in Top 15. Miss Grand United States 2024, the seventh edition of the national pageant, will be held later this year where Miss Grand USA 2023 Sthephanie Miranda will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
