Lisa Marie Tse Ga Ye was crowned Miss Hong Kong 2020 at the coronation night held on 30th August 2020 as she bested nine other beauties to win the national crown. Although Lisa will not participate in any of the major international beauty pageants, she will represent Hong Kong in Miss Chinese International Pageant.

Lisa has a dual heritage as her father is from Hong Kong and her mother is Scottish. She was born in Scotland and finished her studies at the University of Edinburgh. Currently, Lisa is working as a surgical nurse. Lisa recently turned 25 as she was born on 26th August 1995.

Lisa was nominated by Maria Cordero, a veteran Hong Kong singer to participate in the pageant and flew to Hong Kong from Scotland to participate in the contest. Even though she doesn’t speak fluent Cantonese, she managed to win the applause of the audience by singing the classic song ‘Shanghai Tang’.

The newly crowned Miss Hong Kong 2020 Lisa Marie Tse’s court included –

First Runner-up – Celina Harto

Second Runner-up – Kwok Pak Yin

A number of special awards were also announced at the end of the competition; Maisie Kwong was awarded the title of Miss Friendship while Lisa Marie Tse won Miss Photogenic along with the winner crown.

Miss Hong Kong partnered with some of international beauty organizations in the past. They sent candidates in Miss Universe (1973-2000), Miss World (1973- 1989, 1992- 2015) and Miss International (1975-2015).
