The coronation night of Miss Iloilo 2024 was held on Saturday, 13th January 2024 at the West Visayas State University Cultural Center in La Paz, Iloilo City where Alexie Mae Brooks was crowned the new queen. She will represent Iloilo City in a major national pageant that will be announced next week.
Alexie is a National athlete and SEA Games veteran from Leon. Alexie’s journey was marked by consistent dedication and perseverance as she bagged several special awards. During the final round, Brooks emphasized the necessity of empowering women and preserving Iloilo City’s rich heritage. She spoke about the preservation of Ilongga traditions and the upliftment of women in society.
On winning the state crown in the first attempt in pageant world, Alexie took to her official social media as she expressed her emotions in a post captioned, “Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks, your Miss Iloilo 2024! Manifesting, working, and claiming – a journey of gratitude. Thank you, Universe!”
Also at the finale, Alexie Mae Brooks won Best in Swimsuit, Angel Jed Latorre won Best in Evening Gown, Meriel Faith Dumapit won Best in Talent. Along with winning the coveted crown, Alexie also won Miss DITO, Miss Layson Group of Companies, Miss BingoPlus, Best in Designers' Fashion Show, Best in Cultural Costume as a set of corporate awards.
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves were the hosts for the evening. The official panel of jury in charge of crowning the winner included Jenny Ramp, Gerry Diaz, Nicole Borromeo, Rodgil Flores, Ian Mendajar, Nicole Cordoves, Rabiya Mateo and JM Bales.
