Mansi Sehgal was crowned Miss India Delhi 2019 and represented Delhi at Femina Miss India 2019 on 15th June 2019 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Mumbai. She was highly appreciated for her performance but unfortunately wasn’t placed at a high position at the end of the event finale.
Mansi joined Indian Political Party; Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which is currently the ruling party of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on Monday, i.e., 1st March 2021 in the presence of party leader Raghav Chadha. The former beauty queen said she was “inspired by the honest governance of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal” and therefore chose to join the AAP. She further added, “For any nation to prosper, health and education are the two main pillars and there has been a “tremendous change” in these fields in the last few years under the leadership of Mr. Kejriwal. Inspired by the honest governance of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and hard work of MLA Raghav Chadha, I chose to join the Aam Aadmi Party, and I feel that through clean politics, we can bring about a substantial change in the world that we live in.”
Mansi is a trained engineer who graduated with a BTech degree from the Netaji Subhas University of Technology, is a TEDx speaker and an entrepreneur who has set up her own start-up. During the competition of Miss India Delhi 2019, Mansi described herself as a philanthropist and showed a keen interest in organ donation. The diva mentioned that she has always aspired to do something good and positive for the society from a young age and would now urge the youth and especially the women of the country to join the political party to help in changing the country’s politics.
Party leader, Raghav Chadha mentioned, “I am delighted that the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal instil confidence in young people to join politics and serve the people, and the AAP family is growing leaps and bounds with each passing day. I welcome Mansi into the AAP family.”
The pageant fanatics believe that this step by the former queen could help not only her to achieve her goals to help the society bring in the change but also empower young and powerful woman to stand up for their rights and make them understand that if you want to change something you’ve got to do it yourself.
Wishes have been pouring in for the former queen and we’d like to extend our heartily wishes as well.
