The organization of Miss Australia crowned Courtney Tester as the new Miss Intercontinental Australia 2020/2021 on 15th May 2021 at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cover Resort, Manor Cir, Hope Island, Queensland, Australia. Courtney Tester has succeeded Miss Intercontinental Australia 2019 Hannah Swart and now will represent Australia at Miss Intercontinental 2021.

After winning the crown, Courtney took to her social media to share the exciting news with her fans and followers. She posted a picture of her with the crown and sash and wrote, "On cloud nine and completely lost for words. Thank you to everyone that made this possible and all my family and friends for your endless support. " Along with Courtney Tester being crowned as Miss Intercontinental Australia 2020/2021, Denika Donnelly was also crowned as Miss Global Australia 2020/2021 at the end of the event finale.

Hailing from Perth, Courtney is 24-years-old and is a professional model. She said she was honored to be selected as a finalist by the pageant directors out of the hundreds of entries across Australia, with COVID-19 making it difficult to hold preliminary events in each state. She recently completed her Masters of Primary Education and is involved herself in community and charity work.

Courtney’s charity work includes a stationery drive for ‘Give Write’, which provides school supplies to kids in need and donating 23cm of hair to Sustainable Salons to create wigs for adults and children with cancer and alopecia. Explaining her participation in the beauty pageant, the diva stated that the pandemic made everyone realize what is important for us, and for her, it was to do things that made her heart sing and the beauty pageant is it.

Talking about how much the beauty pageant means to her, Courtney mentioned that beauty pageants provide girls and women with an opportunity to get involved in social events and community work and drive them to fundraise for causes they are passionate about. "The journey so far has highlighted my passion for education and the importance of mental health, and I hope to continue to promote health, wellbeing, and the importance of self-care, and support charities and organizations that assist the education of our children," she added.

The diva was adjudged as the third runner-up at Miss Galaxy Australia 2016 and has been determined to represent Australia on an international platform. She has mentioned that she is very grateful to everyone who helped her and motivated her throughout the pageant, which helped her to stay calm and perform her best on the finale night.
