Two Beauty Queens cannot be friends, is old news. Now, two beauty queens can be friends and can be very good friends. We have seen an example during the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, the blooming friendship of Pia Wurtzbach and Olivia Jordan. Also, this year’s Miss Universe pageant also saw budding friendship between Miss Colombia and Miss Thailand, Miss Philippines and Miss Malaysia.

We now have the new BFF’s in town – one is a Filipino beauty, other is Filipino’s darling. We are talking about Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa and Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin. The two beauties recently visited Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, and enjoyed a leisure time. The beauty queens stayed at Hannah Beach Resort and enjoyed various activities throughout their vacation, including riding on ATVs, ziplining, shooting, and walking on the beach. Kylie Verzosa was crowned as Miss International 2016 at the finale held on 27th October 2016, held at the Tokyo Dome City Hall of Tokyo in Japan. Kylie Verzosa of Philippines won the coveted title of Miss International 2016 after defeating 68 other contestants. She was crowned by the Venezuelan beauty. Kylie’s advocacy aims at benefiting the children and stopping youth suicide and crimes. She aims to help youth suffering from depression and other forms of mental illness.

Katherine Espin was crowned as Miss Earth 2016 at the finale held on 29th October 2016. Katherine said that her advocacy as reigning Miss Earth will focus on addressing climate change. She called it as the “most important environmental issue we have right now in the planet.” Katherine has made various school tours and also attended the Isabela for the Bambanti Festival, in Vigan City upon the invitation of the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines, Davao and Bacolod.
