As an official confirmation came in from the Miss International Organization, Jemima Gbato will be representing Côte d'Ivoire at the upcoming Miss International 2018 as Miss International Côte d'Ivoire 2018.
Jemima Gbato, the first runner-up at Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2018, becomes the third representative of Cote d'Ivoire at Miss International pageant. Jemima is a petroleum engineering major and a professional dancer who will try to win the first ever International crown for her country.
Miss International also took to its official Facebook page to release the news as they wrote, “Road to the Crown - Cote d'Ivoire is back!!! Yes, we are excited to welcome the wonderful and beautiful nation of "Ivory Coast" in the 58th Miss International Beauty Pageant to be held in Tokyo this fall! Jemima Gbato, a petroleum engineering major and a professional dancer will try her luck to become Africa's first ever Miss International winner!”
Cote d'Ivoire has participated twice in Miss International pageant, making Jemima the third delegate from the cocoa-rich country.
