In one of her interviews, Maya shared, "Four years ago, my best friend entered me into a competition because she thought I had potential. I'm a rather reserved person and I didn't think it was right for me at all. But by dint of hearing those around me telling me that I could do it, I tried. To my surprise, I enjoyed participating in this competition. She was perplexed as to why I felt so at ease. It gave me self-confidence and it allowed me to do things I didn't even think about. " Maya was named Miss Pays de l'Albigeois 2016's second runner-up.

Maya had mentioned that representing France at an international competition would be an absolute honor for her and she would prepare her best for the same. She is positive, hopeful, and has started to work on herself for the final night, where she is confident that she will perform at her best. She is strong, hopeful, beautiful, and young, which is one of the reasons why she could be a strong contender if she prepared herself well for the competition.

Queen, congratulations!
