Chiho Terauchi crowned Miss International Japan 2020

Miss International Japan 2020 held its grand coronation night today i.e. 26th November 2019 in Tokyo where Chiho Terauchi was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Japan in Miss International 2020. Miss International Japan 2019 Tomomi Okada crowned her successor at the end of the event finale.

Born in Utsunomiya City, Chiho Terauchi gave an incredible performance at the national contest. She seemed confident throughout the coronation and was quite eloquent at the speech review as well. An accomplished panel of jury deemed her as the winner as she will be a strong contender for the next year’s edition crown. Being crowned so early, it will give Chiho all the time she needs to prepare for the international competition. The newly crowned queen’s court included-

First Runner-Up – Sanae Kangyu (No. 11)

Second Runner-Up – Minami Katsuno (No. 9)

Third Runner-Up – Ibuki Ishii (No. 1)

Fourth Runner-Up – Ai Naito (No. 29)

Forty-five contestants competed for the national crown where these ladies emerged as the winners. Apart from the winner and her court, Top 8 included Yuki Nagamine, Mai and Nagasaka Azuma. A number of special awards were also given at the contest –

Perfect Body Award – Sainae Kangyu
Beauty Skin Award - Ai Naito

Happy Smile Award – Chiho Terauchi

WEB Gene Award – Morinaga

 

Chiho Terauchi crowned Miss International Japan 2020

 

This year, Tomomi Okada Miss International Japan 2019 represented her country in Miss International 2019 where she failed to place in the Top 15. Even though the country has hosted the pageant for maximum number of times, it has just one title under its belt.
