The Miss International South Africa organization hosted the 2021 edition of the pageant on 12th December, 2021 at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace in Gauteng, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed for the national title. At the end of the event, Ferini Dayal was crowned as Miss International South Africa 2021 as she succeeded Miss International South Africa 2019 Nicole Middleton for the title.

Ferini is a doctor at Thelle Mogoerane hospital in Vosloorus and the founder of ‘Dayal Foundation’, a charitable institute which aims to create difference in many South Africans lives through fundraising and medical advocacy. A surgeon in the making, Dr. Dayal has also appeared on the cover of October issue of ‘Spectacular’ magazine and took part in a discussion on breast cancer for her campaign.

The 27-year-old recently helped raise over R700,000 in gifts for moms and babies to commemorate World Prematurity Day. Relishing in her crowning moment, the diva shared a quote by Williamson on her social media. “As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously allow others to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others,” she quoted. The diva wore a glass beaded gown by Tumi Gede, fashion designer and owner of ‘Sophie Online’, an online fashion store and finished off her look with crystal embedded shoes for the finale night.

The two times medical graduate will now head to the 60th Miss International Beauty Pageant, which is rescheduled to the autumn of 2022 due to rising cases caused by the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant.
