Diana Macarena Croce, who was the first runner-up in Miss Venezuela 2016 and represented Venezuela in Miss World 2016, has now been appointed to represent Venezuela in Miss International 2017 to be held on 18th November 2017 at in Tokyo, Japan.
Previously, Rosangelica Piscitelli, the fourth runner-up at last year's Miss Venezuela pageant, had been appointed to represent Venezuela in Miss International 2017 but she can not participate in the pageant due to family problems. However, reports say that Miss International Committee disqualified Rosangelica from joining the beauty contest as they only allow any of the Top 3 finalists of a national beauty pageant to enter the competition.
Diana Macarena is 20 years of age and stands tall at 175 cm. She has been a successful model in Venezuela since the young age of 14 years.
In the year 2016, Miss Venezuela Mundo pageant was not held due to the economic recession, and Diana was appointed to participate in Miss World 2016 held in the USA, by Miss Venezuela CEO Osmel Sousa.
