Jewel Alexei Buot Image was crowned Miss Mandaue 2022 at the coronation night held on Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex on 6th May 2022 at 8 PM. Miss Mandaue 2019 Lorraine Hann took her final walk as the reigning queen at the finale.
It was the 48th edition of the state pageant. Jewel Alexei Buot Image is 20 years of age and a future Registered Massage Therapists. Jewel Alexei also holds the titles of Miss Air Asia 2022, Best in swimsuit award and Best in long gown award.
The newly crowned Miss Mandaue 2022 Jewel Alexei Buot Image’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Krisha Andrea Pekitpekit
2nd Runner-up – Corinthia Marie Empe
The coronation night was hosted by Danikka Anne Ocampo and Judah Cohen, with the special participation of Shanyl Hofer. The esteemed panel of jury included Ms. Gabriella Mai (“Gabbi”) C. Carballo - Miss Mandaue 2018, Miss Cebu 2022 The Quincentennial Cebuana; Mr. Victor Hao Cuenco - CEO, VHC Productions, Artistic and Stage Director of BB Cebu 2017 & 2019 and Miss World 2019 and 2021, Artistic and Stage Director of Queen Philippines; Mr. Junichi L. Yabushita - Ginoong Cebu 2018, Misters of Filipinas- Runway Model Universe Philippines 2021; Ms. Sheila Romero - Vice Chairman, Air Asia Philippines, Chairperson, Globalcity Mandaue Corporation; Dr. Michael Vince D. Busa- Dermatologist and Venereologist of Skin Doctors Cebu City & Skin Doctors Lapu-Lapu City.

The contestants who competed at Miss Mandaue 2022 were Princess Donah Paraiso, Kathryn Nepomuceno, Aira Yzabel Velasco, Leila Alexis Mah, Khyra Quinn Adams, Niña Danielle Illustrisimo, Doanne Kristett Manhilot, Corinthia Marie Empe, Julya Beatrix Basubas, Krisha Andrea Pekitpekit, Jewel Alexiei Image and Mary Beth Ed Martel.
In her farewell message, Miss Mandaue 2019 Lorraine thanked the people behind her success. Lorraine joined the Miss Mandaue pageant because she wanted to redefine the standards of beauty, break stereotypes, and represent all female who have been criticized in the industry because their body types do not meet the standards. Although her reign has ended, Lorraine promised to continue to serve Mandaue City and inspire people.
