Miss Mississippi USA 2019 held its grand finale on 28th October 2018. The conclusion of the event saw the crowning of Madeleine Overby as the new state representative of Mississippi in Miss USA 2019. If she wins the national pageant, she will be able to represent the United States in Miss Universe 2019 to be held next year.
Madeleine is 20 years of age and was a former NFL cheerleader. She has studied Biomedical at The University of South Alabama. Now she is studying to be a nurse at The University of Southern Mississippi located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Upon winner the state title, Madeleine took to her social media and wrote, “Hello everyone! My name is Madeleine Overby- Miss Mississippi USA 2019! I am so incredibly honoured to be the new title holder. I have dreamed of this moment for years and my dream finally came true! I am so excited for all of you to follow my journey as Miss Mississippi USA and also to the Miss USA pageant this year! I have so many emotions at this moment- but I want to say thank you all for the endless encouragement and support! Let’s get this year started!”
