Miss Mundo Puerto Rico organization is all set to host the 2022 edition as the delegates have been actively participating in the pre-pageant activities which will determine their fate in the competition. The winner will succeed and be crowned by Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2021 Aryam Díaz and will represent Puerto Rico at the next edition of Miss World.
While the delegates are preparing with all the hard work and determination, there is one diva who has made it almost all the hot picks lists till now. Mariela Pepin Miss Mundo Luquillo 2022 is a strong contender for Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 crown. Mariela graduated from Towson University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Mariela spent her first few years in her birthplace before traveling the world due to her father's military career. Her family relocated to Germany and travelled Europe visiting France, Czechoslovakia, and Italy. Mariela’s first language is Spanish but she has also studied French and American Sign Language in school along with knowing English.
Not new to the pageantry, Mariela won her first-ever pageant in 2013 earning the title of Miss Maryland Teen USA while she was a freshman at Towson. She went on to compete at Miss Teen USA in the Bahamas. She also began modeling with Click Models' Philadelphia and New York divisions. In 2019, Mari won the title of Miss Maryland USA 2019 and competed at Miss USA, where she placed in the Top 10 finalists.
Mariela is extremely passionate about giving back, helping others and being involved in the community. The stunning beauty has spearheaded numerous non-profit efforts in various sectors including women's health, children's initiatives, homelessness and veteran's affairs. She has also helped create and run various non-profit organizations like Moi Warriors which helps women who have overcome medical obstacles. She also helped create ‘Make a Veteran Smile’ program which provides free surgical procedures to veterans in need. Mariela is surely a strong and passionate queen who can represent Puerto Rico at an international stage if she performs with hard work and determination.
