It was an interactive day for the contestants of Miss Nepal 2018 as they met with the lovely queens of Miss Nepal 2017 that too on the first day of the competition.
Along with the gorgeous Miss World Nepal 2017, Nikita Chandak were present Miss Universe Nepal 2017 Nagma Shrestha, Miss International Nepal Niti Shah, Miss Earth Nepal 2017 Rojina Shrestha, and Miss Asia Pacific Nepal 2017 Sahara Basnet.
The meeting was held in Pokhara which is the first destination of the contestants before they leave for Ghandruk village.
They also cut the cake to officially began the competition and the honours were done by The contestants representing Pokhara province, No. 17 Mamta Joshi and No. 12 Jyotsna Chhetri.

The girls were briefed by the reigning queens along with Rachana Gurung Sharma, the engine that keeps it running in the elegant cruise of Miss Nepal along with chairman Mr Gopal Sunder Lal Kakshapati. Rachana has been the trainer and choreographer of Miss Nepal pageant since two decades and she made the girls understand the things that will be expected from them in the 23rd edition of Miss Nepal.
The concept of the Miss Nepal is changed this year with the inclusion of 25 finalists rather than 17 in the previous years. So, basically, this has given a much wider range of girls to choose from. Well, the competition organizers definitely believe in the saying, “The more, the merrier.”
Now that Miss Nepal 2018 has officially begun, it would be interesting to see who among the 25 ladies will make a way to people’s heart ad become early favourites. There are quite a few famous faces in the competition this year from girls in the Nepali entertainment industry to previous beauty queens.
