Be it beauty or brains, the stunning Nepali divas excel in every aspect.

Over the decade, these beauties have shown unprecedented talent at the competition, winning top placements at an international level. Here are the breathtaking Nepali beauties who performed immaculately in their respective years of vying for the Miss Nepal crown and the opportunity to fly Nepalese flag on the prestigious stage of Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International, and Miss Supranational through 2011 till now –

Shristi Shrestha Miss Nepal 2012 Winner

Shristi Shrestha competed in Miss Nepal 2012 where she represented her hometown Chitwan. With her eloquence, intelligence, and beauty she managed to win the crown and was titled as the new Miss Nepal 2012. She also bagged Miss Confidence title for her invincible confidence and positive attitude throughout the competition.

Fulfilling her duty as Miss Nepal 2012, she represented Nepal in Miss World 2012 and managed to take up space in the top 20 finalists. Though she didn’t mark a victory in the competition, she was able to achieve 8th position in Beach Beauty and was one of the top 10 contestants for the Multimedia Award. Because of her adaptability, she became one of the favorite contestants of the audience in no time and hence won the ‘Public Choice Award’ during the Miss World. As Miss Nepal 2012, Shrestha became the seventh Young Conservation Ambassador in WWF Nepal. She currently involved with Snow Leopard conservation projects at WWF Nepal. After three years of winning Miss Nepal 2012, she made her television debut in the Nepalese and Indian entertainment Industry.

Nagma Shrestha Miss Nepal 2012 First Runner-up

Nagma was 21 years old when she represented her province Kathmandu in Miss Nepal 2012. Like any other delegate, she initially aimed for the crown of Miss Nepal and the opportunity to represent Nepal in Miss World 2012, but she ended up being the first runner up and was crowned as Miss Earth Nepal 2012. Her title of Miss Earth Nepal 2012 gave her the right to represent Nepal in Miss Earth 2012 where she managed to reach the top 8 finalists labeling herself as the first ever beauty queen from Nepal to reach the finals in an international pageant.

After a long pause of 5 years, Nagma tried her luck again as she won the title of Miss Universe Nepal 2017. With her exemplary achievements, she became the first woman to represent Nepal in two major international pageants namely Miss Earth 2012 and Miss Universe 2017.

Ishani Shrestha Miss Nepal 2013 Winner

Ishani, at the age of 21, represented Kathmandu when she was vying for the Miss Nepal in 2013. Her stunning body and adorable personality helped her win the crown of Miss Nepal World 2013 alongside the subtitle of Miss Catwalk. She then represented her country in Miss World 2013 where made her way into the top 10 finalists. She also won one of the most prestigious title of Miss World that is the beauty with a purpose award for her social work in which she traveled across Nepal, spreading awareness on Oral Hygiene.

Shrestha, with all her love for dance, showcased her country’s culture and her talent by dancing on a Nepali song and was placed as the second runner up for multimedia in Miss World 2013. During her reign, she worked as Young Conservation Ambassador for World Wildlife Fund in Nepal and now is a well-known entrepreneur, model, and media personality.

Aastha Pokharel Miss Nepal 2014 Third Runner-up

Aastha Pokharel, in 2014, vied for the crown of Miss Nepal 2014 where she was titled as the third runner up at the conclusion of the event. Standing 180 cm tall, Aastha was 22 years old when she was confirmed as the official delegate of Kathmandu district for Miss Nepal 2014. Her modeling career began in 2011, three years before she stepped into pageantry. In 2013, Pokharel won Supermodel Nepal 2013 and was placed among the top 5 finalists of Asia’s Next Top Model.

Though she didn’t win the crown of Miss Nepal 2014 or the opportunity to be a representative, she definitely made her way into the hearts of pageant lovers and media which is why she was nominated as India Times Most Desirable Women soon after the Miss Nepal competition concluded in 2014. Her stunning poses in front of the camera gave her the opportunity to feature in the Kingfisher Calendar 2015.

Nikita Chandak Miss Nepal 2017 Winner

Nikita Chandak Maheshwari represented Urlabari in Miss Nepal 2017 and was crowned as winner at the end of the event. Nikita was a student of Fashion Communication at the JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru, India where she learned to groom herself as a professional model. Her learnings helped her to win the crown and the golden opportunity to represent Nepal at Miss World 2017 where she was placed in Top 10 for People’s Choice Award, Top 20 in her Beauty with a Purpose Project, and secured third position in Multimedia award.

Nikita has been a sincere student since her childhood and possesses great qualities like dedication, determination, obedience and perseverance which is why she won the Miss Nepal 2017 title even after being completely new to pageantry.  Not only was she honored with the prestigious Miss Nepal 2017 crown but also managed to bag subtitles for Best in Evening Gown, Miss Popular Choice, and Miss Confident for her outstanding performance in the competition.

Asmi Shrestha Miss Nepal 2016 Winner

Asmi Shrestha of Chitwan represented her province in Miss Nepal 2016 at the age of 22. With her breathtaking beauty, stunning figure, and quick wit, she won the coveted crown of Miss Nepal 2016 alongside winning the subtitles for Miss Photogenic, Best in Evening Gown and Miss Intellect. Prior to bagging the Miss Nepal 2016 crown, Shrestha also flaunted her skills in Face of Classic Diamond 2014 and ended being crowned as the winner for the night.

After being crowned as Miss Nepal 2016, Shrestha went on to proudly represent Nepal in Miss World 2016 and rose to the Top 5 in Beauty with a Purpose category for her social and humanitarian work. Continuing her love for modeling which she has had for more than seven years, Asmi works as a professional model and has also featured in various Nepali music albums.

Niti Shah Miss Nepal 2017 First Runner-up

Niti Shah in one of the most admired models of Nepal who was titled as the first runner up in Face’s House of Fashion 2013. She was also declared as the most popular face of EnVogue. Niti competed in Miss Nepal 2017 and was titled as the first runner up to Miss Nepal 2017 Nikita Chandak. As a first runner up, she bagged the title of Miss International Nepal 2017 and represented the country at Miss International 2017 in Japan.

While representing her province Ghorahi in Miss Nepal 2017, she won the subtitles of Miss Best Complexion and Miss Fascino for her beauty and grace. Niti has walked the runway for various fashion shows and has flaunted her beauty by wearing exquisite dresses designed by famous fashion designers of Nepal. She also starred in a short film entitled ‘Female in Film’ released in the year 2013.

Manita Devkota Miss Universe Nepal 2018

Manita Devkota, at 23 years of age, represented Gorkha district in Miss Nepal 2018 where she was crowned as Miss Universe Nepal 2018 thereby gaining the opportunity to represent Nepal in Miss Universe 2018. Manita snatched the attention for her adorable answer and marvelous personality which was adorned by her bewildering beauty.

She was also awarded with Miss Glamour subtitle for her unique sense of fashion. Even before she was titled as Miss Universe Nepal 2018, Devkota worked with many organizations for the welfare of underprivileged women. She then boasted her skills in Miss Universe 2018 where she made her way to the top 10 finalists. Her performance throughout the competition gained huge appreciation from the audience and the judges as well.

Shrinkhala Khatiwada Miss World Nepal 2018

Shrinkhala Khatiwada of Makwanpur represented her province in Miss Nepal 2018 where she was crowned Miss World Nepal 2018. She was also awarded with the subtitles of Miss Fascino and Miss Beautiful Hair. Khatiwada represented Nepal in Miss World 2018 and was placed among the top 12 candidates. With her grace and excellence, she won several awards including the Beauty with a Purpose Award and the Multimedia Award.

This beauty from Nepal has always been passionate about writing and dreams to become the first Lady Prime Minister of Nepal. Shrinkhala is a National Chancellor for the International Association of Educators for World Peace (IAEWP) and President of the One Home Foundation.

Anushka Shrestha Miss World Nepal 2019

Anushka Shrestha vied for the crown of Miss Nepal 2019 where she was crowned as Miss World Nepal 2019 gaining the right to represent Nepal at the prestigious platform of Miss World 2019. Anushka, alongside winning the crown of Miss World Nepal 2019, won the subtitles for Miss Intellectual and Miss Fascino during the competition.

She went on to represent her country in Miss World 2019 where she managed to take up space in the top 12 finalists. Also, she was honored with the Beauty with a Purpose Award and Multimedia Award for her social work and cultural performance.

Riya Basnet Miss Nepal 2019 First Runner-up

Riya Basnet of Kathmandu represented her province in Miss Nepal 2019 at 22 years of age. She was crowned Miss Earth Nepal 2019 which gave the opportunity to represent Nepal in Miss Earth 2019. With her jovial yet sincere personality, she gained the attention of the audience and took no time to become the favorite contestant of the viewers.

Her popularity made her the winner of Miss Popular Choice award in the competition. Riya went on to represent Nepal at the international stage of Miss Earth 2019 but unfortunately wasn’t placed. She is currently working for her non-profit organization named Young Roots. The company works towards promotion of eco-friendly homes, offices and schools. The company also works towards promoting sustainable tourism in Nepal.
