A candidate of Miss Philippines Earth 2017 has complained about the acts of lasciviousness of a newspaper photographer who allegedly touched her behind during the press presentation of the candidates held at a hotel in Manila last Wednesday.
Kim De Guzman who stays in Olongapo City confirmed the incident but refused to give details. One of the sources from the environment driven pageant said that the photographer allegedly touched Kim de Guzman, and some candidates and guests saw it also.
The 40 candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2017 wore similar two-piece swimsuit when the incident happened. The same source also said that Lorraine Schuck, EVP of Carousel Productions, who runs the annual pageants, confiscated the identification card of the photographer and took him to the security office of the hotel immediately.
“It is an indecent behaviour and happened for the first time since the Miss Earth Philippines has been started in 2001”, added the source. No other details were given about the incident and Guzman also refused to give furthur details about the incident.
Kim De Guzman is one of the front runners for the contest. She also won several special awards in pre pageant activities held in the past weeks. The grand coronation night of Miss Earth Philippines 2017 is scheduled to be held on 15th July 2017 in the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
