The 20th edition of Miss Philippines Earth i.e., Miss Earth Philippines 2020, was all set to be hosted on 10th May 2020 but keeping the current situation in mind the pageant is going to held virtually. The ‘Eco-Angels’ from all over the country will be competing for the title of Miss Philippines Earth 2020 and their chance to represent Philippines at Miss Earth 2020.
Miss Philippines Earth aims to give a strong emphasis on environmental awareness programs and the delegates actively promote and get involved in the preservation of the environment and protection of Mother Earth. Miss Philippines Earth 2019 Janelle Lazo Tee from Pasig City will crown her successor at the end of the pageant.
The Eco-Angels who will be competing this year will have to outdo their best in terms of advocacy and their vision for Mother Earth. The delegates have started to prepare themselves for the big event. One of the delegates that has caught our attention is Hannah Bithiah Meriño who is representing Santa Rosa City, Laguna at the competition as a front runner for the title.
Hannah Bithiah Meriño is 24-years-old and stands 172cm tall. She has graduated in Medical Technology from the University of Perpetual Help Biñan Laguna. She has worked as a flight stewardess at Philippines Airlines. She works as a professional model and is very adamant to represent Philippines at Miss Earth 2020 pageant.
Hannah is not new to the pageantry world as has previously participated in Mutya Ng Laguna 2015 where she was adjudged as the second runner-up at the end of the event finale. She later participated in Mutya Ng Pilipinas CALABARZON 2018 and is now a part of Miss Philippines Earth 2020.
Hannah feels excited and honoured to be a part of a platform which will give her the opportunity to talk about her advocacy and reach out to a larger section of people to make them aware of the current situation in the world. She wishes to create awareness regarding the basic hygiene that people should practice. She wants people to understand that climate change is real and if we don’t act now, it’s going to get worse. Along with hygiene, her focus in on sustainable ecotourism and responsible travelling. She has herself posted a lot of safety measures and guidelines in regarding to the pandemic for her followers to follow. She has urged that everyone should practice proper hygiene, disinfect all surfaces at home.
Hannah Bithiah Meriño is beautiful, confident and strong individual who is very apt with keeping her thoughts out in the world. She is very connected to nature and likes to spend her free time in nature. She is a believer of god and strongly believes that if we work hard and have faith in god, things happen in our favour.
Hannah wants to be a role model for the people who are passionate about beauty pageants and wants to use to the platform to make a difference in the society. She wants the young women to know that it is okay to dream about goals and ambitions and if they are dedicated and determined to win, they can win.
Hannah has been advocating about Mental Health as well where she has been talking about how working out for 15-20 minutes in a day can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, ADHD & more. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts your overall mood. No matter your age or fitness level, you can learn to use exercise as a powerful tool to feel better. In one of her posts, she mentioned, “Lending a helping hand is one of the easiest things you can do to make a difference in this world, one day, one person and one act of kindness at a time.”
Hannah Bithiah Meriño is experienced in the field of beauty pageants and her strong delegation can help her win the title of Miss Earth Philippines 2020 and have a place on the stage of Miss Earth 2020 and represent Philippines.
