Miss South Africa 2020, the 62nd edition of Miss South Africa, will host its annual edition virtually in the month of August where the next delegate to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2020 will be crowned. South Africa’s performance at the international beauty pageants has been incredible as the divas have always proven their worth in the competition and with their remarkable performances, they have taken home multiple titles, especially in the recent years.

Rebuilt under ‘Face your power, embrace your future’, stunning beauties will compete for the crown and the opportunities to represent South Africa in Miss Universe 2020 and Miss World 2020. Just today, the Miss South Africa organization has announced that the three finalists who will be crowned at the end of the event finale will represent South Africa at international pageants including Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Supranational.

While the official delegates are yet to be announced, there are a few beauties who have shown immense potential to be a part of this year’s national pageant. Beáta Bena Green has made it to our wish list along with being the official entrant to be a part of Miss South Africa 2020 with her stunning beauty and grace. She recently sent and uploaded her entry video for the pageant on her social media.

Beata is 24-years-old and an actress, model, business owner, and story teller. She has graduated with a degree of arts and is soon to earn her master’s degree in the same. She feels very excited to be a part of Miss South Africa 2020 stage if she gets selected. Beata is also the cousin of Tamaryn Green who was crowned Miss South Africa 2018, and took home second place at Miss Universe later that same year.

Beata is not new to the pageantry as she has previously participated in Miss Teen South Africa 2013. In 2017 Beáta won the provincial category at Miss Mamelodi Sundowns, and this year she hopes to follow in the footsteps of her cousin. She has worked with various designers, brands, and photographers in South Africa which has helped her to work on her skills and abilities to be a better beauty queen in future. She likes to challenge herself because she believes that a good challenge helps her to work harder and she is more focused. Sharing her story, she also mentioned that she chooses the same dress to record her entry video which she wore to get her first portfolio picture clicked. She also mentioned that she wanted to pay tribute to her journey till now.

Beata stated in her video, "I'm excited by the opportunity to amplify the voice of anyone whose story needs to be told." She also mentioned that she grew up realizing that certain parts of her were different to society’s preconceived ideas of the 'perfect woman' but, like with everything in life, times changed and the organisation was ready.

The diva also mentioned that she is very thankful to her parents, friends, and entire family for being supportive and motivating towards her future. Beáta's video message has a focus on the power of storytelling, which is close to her heart. The diva is currently portraying the role of Kim on KykNet telenovela ‘Arendsvlei’. The diva believes in working hard and being confident no matter what. She stated, “We can exist in spaces with people that have different beliefs to us without judgement and maintain respect; compassion and humanity.”

Beata wants to use the platform of Miss South Africa 2020 to amplify and empower the voices that have not been able to speak their stories out to the world. She wants to be the voice of the people who feel less heard in the society. The diva is gorgeous, has beautiful smile and curly hair which adds up to her beauty. She feels blessed and excited for the journey that would come ahead once she gets selected by the organization. She is confident, beautiful, and very determined to get selected to compete at Miss South Africa 2020 and be able to win a chance to represent South Africa at international beauty pageants. She is working on her on-stage walk, body postures and angles and most importantly on her interview skills which is very essential part of any beauty pageants.
