The organization announced Top 30 delegates who have begun their journey at the national contest. In a series of features, lets know more about these delegates. Lehlogonolo Machaba, from Oskraal in the Northwest province, has made it to Top 30.

Lehlogonolo Machaba is a fashion model, LGBTQI activist and has a National Diploma in Fashion from Tshwane University of Technology. She considers herself as a God-filled woman who is passionate about advocating for the true definition of authenticity and practicing it. Her dream is to be able to motivate people and give back to marginalized communities.

Machaba made history as the first transgender woman to make the Miss South African top 30 in 2021 however she could not make it to Top 10. She describes herself as a trans woman who enjoys being her truest self and is passionate about advocating for the true definition of authenticity.

Machaba said she didn’t plan on entering the Miss South Africa 2022 pageant again but explained it was a force bigger than her that made her do it. “I’ve always thought that being part of Miss South Africa was a dream come true, but now I’ve realised that this is what God appointed me to do, this is my purpose. I’m grateful for a second chapter to tell my story and be able to advocate for True Authenticity for Marginalised communities.”

“I initially didn’t plan to enter again this year, but a Force bigger than me wants me to fulfil what I was called for here on Earth, which I believe is changing the Narratives for Everyone who doesn’t fit in the perfect world. I am Imperfect but through me embracing my imperfections and strength, I am now aligned to my purpose”, she added. A unique and determined beauty, Machaba definitely will give it her all to win the national crown.
