Miss Supranational 2014, Asha Bhat, extends her support to the “Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan” (Clean India Mission). The Mission was started by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. “Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan” was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an initiative to clean the roads. Ever since the launch of the mission, famous personalities from all walks of life have joined it in support. Adding to the list of supporters is Asha Bhat, Miss Suprantional 2014.
Asha Bhat who has been working for a campaign, “Go green Stay Clean”, an initiative towards a greener and cleaner environment, gave out a statement saying “Swatch Bharat can really be achieved only when each of us takes charge of the waste we generate. Let’s join hands to create awareness.” She further adds, “We all dream of cleaner & greener world. So it's time to wake up and take little initiative to contribute our bit towards it.”
