The grand finale of Miss Supranational 2018 is to be held on 8th December 2018 in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland where delegates from all over the world will be competing for the title of Miss Supranational. About 70 delegates have already been confirmed and a few more will be announced very soon. Miss Supranational 2017 Jenny Kim of Korea will be crowning her successor at the conclusion no the event.

All the delegates have worked very hard to achieve and reach the platform they are on right now. And while all the delegates are unique in their own way, we have found three delegates who have a very interesting connection between them - all three of them, even though from different countries, share the same Filipina heritage and blood!

These three contestants are, Miss Supranational Philippines 2018 Jehza Huelar, Miss Supranational USA 2018 Katrina Jayne Dimaranan and Miss Supranational Dominican Republic 2018 Yomaira De Luna. Jayza is already representing the Philippines, but Katrina and Yomaira, even though from different countries, have connections to the Philippines and thank god to their Filipina genes, they are the perfect amalgamation of beauty and brains.

Jehza Huelar, the representative of Philippines in Miss Supranational 2018 did not have an easy path towards the crown. The 23-year-old became the national representative this year after her third try. First in 2016, when she competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2016 she was awarded the position of the 2nd runner-up. Then in the year 2017 when she competed in the same national beauty pageant, but this time the furthest she could go was securing a position in the Top 15. It is a good thing Jehza did not give up after her second try because in Binibining Pilipinas 2018, 173 cm tall Filipina beauty became the national representative in Miss Supranational 2018.

Jehza is quite the achiever as she was one of the ambassadors of Maharlika Sports in Davao City. She also made quite an effort to take part in the activities of the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP), which was a very good decision for her as now, she is the ambassador of FAP Mindanao Chapter, an organisation that encourages children and youth to share the stories of their lives through films. Jehza is the complete package as she is everything that a person looks for in a beauty queen.

The second Filipina beauty in Miss Supranational 2018 is the representative of the United States, Katrina Jayne Dimaranan. Katrina, who is 25 years of age, was appointed Miss Supranational USA 2018. The 175 cm tall beauty is a television host, a model as well as an actor by profession. Along with that, Katrina is also a Business Management student with a Minor in Communications. She is very vocal and proud of her Filipina heritage and says, “I will do my best to make the country proud. I take great pride in my Filipino heritage and to be representing the USA, the country I call home. It is with this American spirit of diversity that I am excited to share with the people of Poland and the rest of the world.”

Katrina’s accomplishments don’t end here. She has had prior experience in the pageant world as she won the title of Binibining Pilipinas Tourism in the year 2012, but was not allowed to compete in the finale. Now, finally, she has gotten the chance to represent the United States in Miss Supranational 2018. Katrina is also a delegate in the upcoming reality show called ‘The People’s Queen’, which is a training boot camp for women who dream of becoming a beauty queen.

Last, but not the least, Miss Supranational Dominican Republic 2018 Yomaira De Luna who is the representative of the Dominican Republic in Miss Supranational 2018. She is 22 years of age and stands tall at a height of 174 cm. Yomaira is no stranger to the pageant world was she has won awards and title in the past. For example, she won the title of Reina Belleza Universo Republica Dominicana 2015. Along with that, she has also won awards like Top Model Ciudad Real, Top Model Castilla La Mancha, Miss República Dominicana.

A model and an actress by profession, Yomaira is also a Business Management student. During her free time, she likes to dance and take pictures. Her absolute favourite hobby is to watch historical documentaries. Yomaira is of Dominican-Filipina heritage and she is very proud of her dual heritage.

All the three contestant are really strong, due to their prior experience in the pageant world. All of them have struggled and in the end, through their hard work and dedication, outshined others to assume their duties as the national representatives of their countries.
