Cayman Islands is all set to debut at Miss Supranational pageant this year under Melissa Bridgemohan’s delegation. The organization which holds the franchise of Miss World Cayman Islands has acquired Miss Supranational’s franchise as well.

Melissa Bridgemohan is 20 years of age and hails from West Bay. She is currently pursuing her associate’s degree in Primary Education. She was born to a single mother who has been working in a male dominated field. Melissa is proud of being the first woman to represent the Cayman Islands at Miss Supranational.

Melissa is a Senior Behavior Technician who is currently working on publishing her first book which focuses on Inclusion. Melissa also knows sign language which she learned to communicate with a childhood friend. Melissa’s #fromthegroundupcsi project is based on inclusion during childhood, especially during early childhood education.

“It’s an incredible honor to be chosen to represent my country on an international stage. I am looking forward to sharing our CaymanKind culture and heritage with pride in Poland. I am looking forward to continuing my efforts in advocating for inclusivity and diversity in my community and beyond”, Melissa quoted on being designated as Miss Supranational Cayman Islands.

Melissa is now preparing for the competition by taking care of her health and fitness, working on her video shoots, having interview training with local Toastmaster Annick Jackman, as well as runway training with local pageant coach Theresa Cole.

Miss Supranational 2023, the 14th edition of the international pageant, will be held on 14th July 2023 at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland where Miss Supranational 2022 Lalela Mswane of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
