Ioana Hotaran was crowned Miss Supranational Romania 2023 at Romanian InfoFashion Festival Spirit of Beauty 2022 on Thursday, 1st September 2022. Since then, she has been preparing to represent her country at Miss Supranational 2023. Ioana succeeds Andra Tache Miss Supranational Romania 2022.

Ioana Hotaran is currently studying for a degree in the Economics of Commerce, Tourism and Service. Not new to the pageantry, Hotaran also holds the titles of Top Model of the World Romania 2022, Miss Romania III 2019, Miss Arad 2019, Miss Skirtbike 2019 and Miss Boboc LNI 2018.

Although still a student, Ioana is an entrepreneur who owns her own brand IOHO Accessories that sells handbags. As an adventurer, she has tried bridge swinging, skydiving and bungee-jumping. She is a keen traveler who hopes to visit all the world's countries by the age of 60.

As for the advocacy, Ioana’s ‘#Fromthegroundupcsi’ project is focused on assisting and supporting kids who have been bullied. It is an United Front that focuses on bullying and cyberbullying by providing valuable information about how we can identify it and how to take action against it.

“This is a project that I can 100% relate with myself, because I also was a victim of bullying. So sharing my story to other young students is something that fullfils my heart and I really hope that this project will have a major positive impact in the school system”, Ioana quotes.

Miss Supranational 2023, the 14th edition of Miss Supranational, will be held on 14th July 2023 at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland. Miss Supranational 2022 Lalela Mswane of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
