At the conclusion of the grand finale of the pageant held in Tanghalang Pasigueño in Pasig City, Philippines on 19th October 2017, Nishita Purandare was crowned Miss Tourism Universe 2017. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Tourism Universe 2016 Saba Moubarak from Iraq.
The Miss Tourism Universe 2017 pageant started in Lebanon. Due to security reasons, however, the organizers of the beauty contest decided to stage the annual show outside of their headquarters. Organizers selected the semi-finalists in Lebanon before they flew to Manila. The ten semi-finalists who entered the semi-finals were delegates from Russia, Philippines, Ghana, Thailand, Lebanon, India, Nepal, Romania, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
Nishita bested nine other semi-finalists to win the title at the finale. Her court included delegates from Vietnam, Philippines, Romania and Portugal, the first, second, third and fourth runner-up.
